Under the impact of this truth, and in order to implement and develop the tradition of paying homage to the newborn, at the initiative of the Civil Status Service the competition titled "Solemn registration of the newborn" is being organized.

With respect to the organizational aspect, the competition takes place in two stages: regional competitions accompanied by the designation of finalists and the final festivity dedicated to the designation and awarding of the winners.

Offices’ activities in this competition is evaluated in terms of legality, dress, creativity, fluency, artistic presentation and, scenario of the solemnity.

 Presence of national coloring, which is found in folk elements used by the competitors in the process of homage to the newborn, deserves consideration.

Participants of the regional stages have successfully fulfilled their mission: rituals flooded the homage hall with the most pure and beautiful emotions, and parents of the babies have experienced unique moments without equivalent on this earth.

The registration of birth was performed by the Heads of Drochia CSO - Mrs. Elena Grosu, Soroca CSO - Nina Babici, Basarabeasca CSO - Mrs. Galina Dragnev, Riscani CSO - Mrs. Livia Patic, and CSO of Riscani sector – Mrs. Maria Colac, employees of GDCS territorial subdivisions who were qualified in the final stage.

Participation in the festivity of the President of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Vladimir Voronin and Prime Minister, Mr. Tarlev, award of the certificates of birth, congratulation messages, giving of gifts and award of commemorative medals to little children’s parents was the moment of maximum emotional intensity of the festivity.
